Patna, July 25 (IANS) No rules have been violated in the allotment of land to family members of Bihar's ruling alliance leaders, a probe report by the state's chief secretary said Monday.Chief Secretary Anup Mukherjee submitted the report to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Sunday night, officials said.

 | The report, which was made available Monday, says that no rules or regulations have been violated in allotment of factory plots to the sons and daughters of the alliance leaders.
The state government has been facing a lot of heat for the past few days over the issue.

The opposition alleged that the state government had allotted factory plots of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) to sons and daughters of the ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance leaders at throwaway prices.

Last week, Nitish Kumar asked the chief secretary to examine the allotment.

However, opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) state president Ramchandra Purve termed the chief secretary's report "a falsehood".

The opposition has been demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the case.
