CBSE Plus-II result fiasco turning students to BSEB schools

Patna,(BiharTimes): Better result of the Bihar School Examination Board and alleged irregularities in the evaluation of CBSE Class-XII results of Patna Region have landed many Class-X pass outs in a fix. Whether to go for the Bihar Board school or Central Board school is the question before them.

In the past the preference was obviously the CBSE schools. But ever since the BSEB has changed its evaluation pattern and started giving more marks to the students of Class-X and XII more and more students are opting for the state board schools. Copies of the Patna Region of the CBSE was evaluated for the first time in Bihar. As there is a large number of irregularities in the evaluation of the copies and several students who qualified in the IIT-JEE, AIEEE, BCECE etc competitions, have failed in the Plus-II exam many of those who passed Class-X are not opting for the schools of the central board.
In spite of that there are several parents who still want their wards to be admitted in the pre

ier CBSE schools of the board. There is no dearth of guardians who were disturbed when both St. Michael's High School and Notre Dame Academy (NDA) held their admission tests on June 15.

Most of the students who wanted to appear in the test of both the schools, were critical of this move. They accused the authorities of both the schools of doing so deliberately, so as to narrow down the option for students.

True, there is still mad rush for forms for Class-XII in the CBSE schools yet many students have different plan. They want to take admission in any Bihar board school and go for rigorous coaching for engineering or medical competition to crack them. As there is no fear of getting less marks in Bihar board they are opting for it as they need not attend class in the Bihar board schools.

What is strange is that unlike the CBSE Class-XII results the Class-X results are very good. The Class-X results appeared much after Plus-II and record 99.51 per cent passed in the Patna region.

In Bihar there are as many number of versions as mouths. Some of those associated with the school business smell some foul play in it. They allege that those who run premier Plus-II schools in Patna grease the palms of the CBSE authorities to get better result of Class-X. They told BiharTimes that had the Class-X results been bad the Plus-II sections of the CBSE schools would have lost their relevance. In such a case more and more students would have gone to state board schools.
