Sushil Modi expresses concern over fall in C-D ratio

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has once again expressed concern over the low credit deposit ratio in the state.
A direction to this effect was given by him at the State Level Banker’s meet in Patna on Saturday.

Modi told the media that the C-D ratio of banks in Bihar was far from satisfactory. Against the national average of 70 per cent the C-D ratio of Bihar is just 33 per cent.

Modi, who also holds the finance portfolio, said that the state government had instructed banks to disburse Rs 40,500 crore during 2011-12 and added that it would appoint a nodal officer to monitor the loan disbursement in rural areas.
