Nitish writes to Krishna, seeks evacuation of labourers from Libya

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed concern over the fate of 1,200 Indians, including 150 labourers from Bihar, taking refuge in the township of Sirat, 600 km from the Libyan capital of Tripoli.
In a letter written to External Affairs Minister S M Krishna he noted that the trapped Indians were surviving on meagre food rations, without any hope for an early evacuation.

Nitish urged the External Affairs Minister to direct the authorities concerned to take immediate and effective steps to evacuate the remaining Indians from Libya at the earliest, as according to reports, some Bihari labourers who attempted to escape were killed.
