Bihar cabinet gives nod to Right to Service Act

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar cabinet on Tuesday gives its nod to the Right to Service (RTS) Act and the Chief Minister Food Security Scheme (CMFSS).
The Act enables a citizen right to service within a stipulated period taking away the right of the government employees to sit on files related to services of the citizens.

Under the Mukhyamantri Khadya Suraksha Yojana or CMFSS, those BPL families who have been kept out of the purview of the Central government’s criteria of the BPL and thus not being provided subsidized grain will be covered under this scheme.

According to the state government’s survey, there are 1.45 crore families in the BPL and are thus eligible to be covered under the food security scheme. However; the Plannig Commission provides subsidized grains to 65 lakh BPL families. Under this latest scheme, the remaining BPL families will be provided subsidized grain.
