Two dozen IPS officers facing charges: Bihar Govt

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government has conceded that at least two dozen IPS officers in Bihar are facing various charges while investigations against seven of them are complete.

 

This information was given in the state Legislative Council by state water resources development minister, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary while replying to the question of Kedar Nath Pandey of the CPI.

The minister said that the government would review the probe reports and sent them to the Union Public Service Commission. The Union ministry of home affairs would take a final decision on these officers.

The minister did not disclose the name of any officer. He, however, said that the government is reviewing clarifications furnished by nine such officers. Show-cause notices have been served to eight IPS officers.
