Intruders break into rebel Janata Dal (U) MLC’s house

Patna,(BiharTimes): Rebel Janata Dal (United) MLC Prem Kumar Mani on Thursday expressed fear that there was a move to kill him.
He said so after unidentified criminals reportedly sneaked into his flat on Daroga Rai Path late on Wednesday night.

According to the suspended Janata Dal (United) MLC though the intruders did not steal anything and escaped, it might be that they had come to kill him.
He said that some people broke open the grill and sneaked into the flat around midnight and entered the room where he usually used to sleep. They switched on the light, but incidentally he was not sleeping in that room on that night.

He said that he and his wife were sleeping in a room in the ground floor. Following suspicion they went upstairs to find the window broken, but found valuables, including a cellphone and a computer, in tact.
This suggests that they had not broken into the house to commit theft. The motive might be something else, he added.
The police have found footprints of at least two persons in the room. The SSP, Alok Kumar, said that the matter is being investigated.

Mani is a bitter critic of the chief minister, Nitish Kumar, and has recently launched blistering attack against him. It was because of this reason that he had been suspended from the party. He is one of the founder members of the Samata Party in October 1994 and till sometimes back considered close to Nitish.
