Nitish visits native village, pays tribute to late wife

Patna,(BiharTimes): To mark the fourth anniversary of the death of his wife, Manju Devi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Saturday visited his native village Kalyanbigha in Nalanda district and paid tribute to her. She died on May 14, 2007.


He garlanded the busts of his father, mother and wife at Kaviraj Ramlakhan Singh Memorial Park named after his late father. The family members who paid tributes included his elder brother Satish Kumar, sister Usha Devi, son Nishant Kumar, nephew Sunil Kumar and others. Among those present on the occasion were RCP Singh, MP, Rajiv Ranjan, MLA, and Sanjay Kumar Singh and Sanjay Jha, both MLCs.


He also inaugurated the Nalanda Indoor Shooting Range at Kalyanbigha and also distributed prizes among the trainee boys and girls and watched shooting practice by them.
