I was brutally beaten and implicated in false case, Irfan writes to Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): The chairman-cum-managing director of Samman Foundation, Irfan Alam, on Monday wrote a letter to the chief minister, Nitish Kumar, stating that he was implicated in a criminal case on false and fabricated charges by the police.

The letter also said that he was brutally beaten up by the police and a case of kidnapping was slapped against him. He said that he was not given an opportunity to explain his position. The incident followed a dispute Irfan had with an engineer, Navendu, to whom he had advanced money for making website.
He has sent the copies of the letter to the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and Director General of Police.

It needs to be recalled that the young entrepreneur, who shot into fame globally for his re-designed rickshaw, along with three of his associates Govind Jha, Yuvraj and Rohit alias Raj Kumar––was arrested, brutally thrashed and put into Shashtrinagar police station lock up for whole night. The police released him the following morning.

The tragedy is that Irfan appears to be fighting his battle alone as no one in the government nor anyone in the civil society has condemned the incident, which happened to a man, who was invited by none else but the US President. Not only that the US ambassador to India came all the way to Patna to pull his rickshaw with Irfan’s mother and envoy’s wife sitting side by side.

Bihar Police are the worst people. For the sake of few hundred rupee they can do unlawful thing.

Less then a month ago they locked up my neighbors in the false SC/ST atrocity act and they had to spend 10days in jail before they got the bail... God save us from Bihar Police. They are not even afraid of GOD!
