RJD flays Janata Darbar, will take to streets on June 5

Patna,(BiharTimes): After remaining silent for six months the Rashtriya Janata Dal on Friday decided to launch a campaign against the Nitish Kumar government from June 5 next. It was on this day that Lok Nayak Jai Prakash launched the Total Revolution.

The party came down heavily on Janata Darbar for not solving any problem of the people. It is being organized every week by the ehief minister for self-promotion. Addressing newsmen the party state president, Ramchandra Purbey, and national spokesman, Ram Kripal Yadav, asked the state government to disclose the cases that the Darbar has solved.

Purbey said that Janata Darbar is of no use and the grievances of the complainants are not solved. Thousands of people attend the Darbar with their complaints but they return as a harassed lot.

He said that not even one per cent of the total complaints, which come to Darbar, has been solved. It is just a show off. In many cases complainants come to the RJD office to get their problems solved, he added.

Ram Kripal said Nitish conducts Janata Darbar just to show his face to the media. He never takes any case seriously and just forwards them to his officials. The ground reality is something very different. If the chief minister is really holding a Darbar for the sake of the people then he must release the list of complainants whose problem has been solved at his Darbar, he said.

According to the RJD MP the chief minister is more interested on foreign trips, than doing serious work. Recently, he visited Bhutan, next month he would be going to China, then the United States and United Kingdom.

They said that the RJD would hold a rally to protest against the government and the corruption prevalent at every level in the state. The party had decided to keep quiet for six months. Now the party chief Lalu Prasad would also join the protest.
