Nitish pays visit to AIIMS

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said people of Bihar and other neighbouring states would be benefitted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences once it starts functioning.


Nitish, who paid a visit to the AIIMS, which is being built by the Union government at the cost of Rs 450 crore near WALMI under Phulwari block of Patna, told mediapersons the work is likely to be completed by 2012.

He said that he had requested the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to ensure the construction in a time-bound manner.

Nitish also visited Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital and Rajendra Nagar Hospital here and said the government had decided to build a Trauma Centre in the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS).
