Sabir Ali quits LJP, parliament seat

Patna,(BiharTimes): Rajya Sabha MP Sabir Ali on Tuesday resigned from the Lok Janshakti Party and also gave up his Parliament membership.

He is likely to join the Janata Dal (United) in the near future. The resignation from the LJP was quite imminent ever since he strongly criticized the party chief, Ram Vilas Paswan, and praised chief minister Nitish Kumar.

Sabir Ali was elected to the Upper House of Parliament in March 2008.
