Nitish hits back at Team Anna

Patna,(BiharTimes): A day after Team Anna strongly criticized the draft of The Bihar Lokayukta Bill 2011 chief minister Nitish Kumar came down heavily on Arvind Kejriwal by publicly stating that he must learn to maintain restrain before opening his mouth.

Talking to newsmen at Majhaulia in West Champaran district during his Sewa Yatra on Thursday he advised Kejriwal to practice restraint before making an observation on any issue.

He minced no words to state that he did not need any certificate from anyone and refuted that he had made any promise to Team Anna regarding the drafting of the Lokayukta Bill of Bihar.

Only on Wednesday Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi both dubbed the draft of The Bihar Lokayukta Bill as a copy or replica of the Centre’s Lokpal Bill.

Kejriwal seems to have acquired the habit of passing remarks. But everyone should remain within his limits, Nitish added.

Interestingly, it was only a few months back that Anna Hazare publicly praised Bihar and Gujarat chief ministers for their good works. However, Anna had to eat his own words as neither of the two states had any Lokayukta with teeth. Nitish even called on him and there were reports in the media that the Bihar government would seek the help of Team Anna in drafting the Bill.

But the development made in the last two days has ended the bonhomie between Team Anna and Nitish Kumar. By stating his position so clearly Nitish has made it clear that he was not interested in appeasing Anna too much as the BJP is doing. Political observers are of the view that while the BJP and RSS are trying to do politics with the help of Team Anna, Nitish feels that he does not need any such crusader in Bihar.
