Sabir Ali finally joins Janata Dal (United)

Patna,(BiharTimes): As expected Sabir Ali, who quit as LJP Rajya Sabha member a few days ago, joined ruling Janata Dal (United) in the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday.

Welcoming him with his hundreds of supporters into his party, Nitish said Sabir would receive full respect and support within the party. He is likely to be made the party candidate for the next year’s Rajya Sabha election.

Sabir Ali was elected to the Upper House of Parliament in March 2008 on LJP ticket. It needs to be recalled that the Mumbai-based Sabir was once made accused in the Gulshan Kumar murder case, but was later acquitted.
