Nirupam calls Sewa Yatra loot of public money

Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior Congress leader and MP, Sanjay Nirupam, has strongly criticized Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s Sewa Yatra and dubbed it as waste of public money and an eyewash.

Talking to newsmen in Patna on Saturday he said nothing changed when Nitish Kumar undertook five yatras in the past. This one too is an eyewash and loot, and waste of public money.

He claimed that the Seva Yatra is not going to change the prospects of Congress nominee from Laukaha in Madhubani district where Assembly by-election is scheduled on November 30. The Congress party has already started the campaign and is hopeful of a favourable result.

The seat had got vacant following the death of Hari Prasad Sah, minister in the Nitish cabinet, last month.

Nirupam tried to expose the tall claim made by the state government about development and said that if the state is at all developing it is all because of the centrally-sponsored schemes.

He recalled how Nitish was forced to remain confined in the block office at Katra in Muzaffarpur district during the Sewa Yatra.
