Dynasty syndrome grips JD(U) as party gives ticket to late minister’s son

Patna,(BiharTimes): The dynasty syndrome continues to grip Janata Dal (United) as the party has given ticket to Satish Kumar, the son of former minister Hari Prasad Sah, for Laukaha Assembly by-election. The election has been necessitated after the death of Sah of brain haemorrhage at AIIMS in New Delhi a few weeks back.

The by-election is to take place on November 30. Laukaha Assembly seat falls under Madhubani district. In all 13 candidates being in the fray.

The Congress, RJD, CPI, Samajwadi Janata Party (Democratic) candidates besides several Independents are in the fray.

When MLA Jagmato Devi died last June chief minster Nitish Kumar did not give ticket to her son Ajay Singh simply because of his questionable past. He suggested him to get married. Ajay obliged and did not even wait for Pitripaksha Mela to get married. The chief minister gave ticket to the new bride, Kavita Singh, who won the election.

Janata Dal (United), it must be recalled, gave maximum number of seats to the kins of the party leaders in the last year’s Assembly election.
