Agitation for AMU land to be launched in Kishanganj from Oct 12

Patna,(BiharTimes): A large number of activists of the Edcational Movement for AMU Centre, Delhi-based AMU Centre Coordination Committee and common citizens of Kishanganj will gather at Ruidhasa Maidan of the town on October 12 to press the Nitish Kumar government to immediately allot 250 acres of land for the Off Campus Branch of the Aligarh Muslim University.

According to Maulana Asrar-ul-Haque Qasmi, Congress MP of Kishanganj, who is spearheading the movement, the democratic agitation would be landmark in the history of entire Purnia Division as well as Bihar.
The movement is going to be launched under the banner of Educational Movement for AMU Centre, which has its convenor and patrons. The three MLAs of Kishanganj and two from nearby Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal are also part of this Movement, which came into existence a couple of months back to protest against the Nitish-led NDA government’s lukewarm response to the proposed demand for land for the AMU Centre.
The Kishanganj MP, MLAs and other citizens on September 12 last submitted a memorandum to District Magistrate of Kishanganj. The letter was addressed to Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar.
The group had organized around 30 awareness meetings at different areas of Kishanganj, Katihar, Araria and Purnia.

I would like to request to the local politicians and their allies in Delhi to ponder over the following points regarding the AMU Centre in Kishanganj. These petty politicians in the name of AMU only promoting their poltical interests by ignoring the real situation and exploiting the emotions of the illiterate and poor muslim masses of Kinshanganj.Even, before the start of this Centre this issue has been completely diverted from educational movement to political ladder just for getting popularity by some small time land mafia and demagogue from New Delhi.

The condition of contigious land is no where mentioned by the goverment of india while allocating the AMU centre budget.
The AMU Centere land allocated and accepted by VC in West Bengal is not contigous as the lands are devided by a river. The AMU VC has accepted this land because of the pressure of Mr. Pranav Mukherjee without raising any issue and AMU VC has violated his own position passed within executive Council(EC), but in case of Bihar AMU VC is unnecessary politicising this issue on behalf of Congress MP from Kishanganj Asrarul Haq Qasmi of as he is very close to VC( This MP has a dubious reputation of mixing politics with religion for his own advantage and he has a failed track records for the development of Kishanganj). This MP is using AMU issue as a means to recover his failed image
The AMU VC has already breached his position taken by AMU Executive Council(EC) in the case of West Bengal that is not questioned by any of the so called AMU Centre agitation leaders.
Even if AMU VC is at all serious for AMU Centre within Bihar he can easily manage this dichotomy by putting this unpractical condition within Excecutive Council(EC) that he can easiliy bypass by calling a meeting of EC again or using his power of 19-3C to scrap this condition of contigous land if he at all serious about creating a centre within Kishangaj.
The Contigous land condition put by AMU VC is against the very history of evolution of AMU and even at present AMU is spread in almost 4 parts.
The Current AMU VC is within a grip of anti-bihari lobby within AMU campus and he is just diverting the issue by putting contigius land condition.
The Contiguous land condition is rarely going be accepted by many state governments given condition of new land acquition bill by Govt of India and if VC is at all serious about the promotion of minority education within different state of india he should be practical within the present environment and the land acquisition bill passed by Govt. of India.
VC is changing his postion on behalf of local congress MP/RJD MLA without any discussion and debate to create a middle ground to slove the problems instead of politicizing the issue and share the dias with all opposition parties in delhi just for bashing Biihar Govt.
I think, AMU VC should came out his position officially and raise his demand again so that Bihar govt will take formal process for land acquisition in any parts of Bihar
This VC has only few months left with lot of corruption charges(CBI enquiry is already ongoing against the VC) and opposition. It seems that it would be difficult to take any policy dicision by current VC and based on this Bihar Govt should wait upto January'12 so that new VC will join.
I would like to request all progressive thinking AMU Alumni to discuss this issue and create a pressure on VC so that this issue will be resolved and refrain from involving in anay politics on behalf of discredited politician like Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav.I would like to request to analyse the 15 years of track records of RJD rule and the initiave taken by RJD whose sole political base was MY. We don't find any educational development within muslims instead of promoting lumpens like Shahabuddin that brought a very bad name to the very secular, harworking and progressive mulsims of Bihar.
I would like to request all progressive organizations including muslims of Bihar to discuss this issue objectively based on facts and data and try to find the middle ground to solve this issue ASAP.
I would like to request all of you to desisit the demagogue and hatred propagated by these so called AMU Centre leaders just to serve their selfish ends and please avoid giving this issue a religious colour, as AMU Centre is for educational development of all Bihari's irrespective of their religion, caste, creed and politcal affiliations.
