HC notice to state govt on pension to JP activists
Patna,(BiharTimes): A single bench of Justice T Meena Kumari of Patna high court on Tuesday issued a notice to the state government, seeking its reply in a case against the scheme under which pension ranging from Rs 2,500 to 5,000 is given to those who were jailed during the JP movement days.
The petitioner had pleaded that the state exchequer cannot be misused to pay pension to political workers.
The court directed the government to clear its position with regard to the pension.
