Cooking up stories in the name of eve-teasing?

Patna,(BiharTimes): If the JD Women’s College authorities are to be believed the Saturday (October 22) incident of the alleged eve-teasing was nothing but a story cooked up by the girls who are sore over the college’s decision to ban the use of mobile phone.

The principal of the college, Usha Singh, said one of the girls was talking on her mobile phone when the lab technician stopped her and snatched the phone. In the process, he touched her hand and the students turned the entire episode into an eve-teasing incident. “A written application regarding the same was given to me the next day. Today a group of girls stopped me and enquired what action I had taken in the matter,” she said on Saturday.

The principal told a section of media that a committee had already been formed to probe the complaint and the report would be sent to the Magadh University after Chhath Puja.

On the other hand the girls alleged that the laboratory in-charge, Manoj Kumar, had misbehaved with them on October 13. They claimed that he had grabbed the hand of a student trying to pull her close.
