Nitish using centrally-sponsored scheme for JD(U)’s Green Bihar campaign : Cong.

Patna,(BiharTimes): Taking strong exception to Janata Dal (United)’s Green Bihar campaign the Congress party alleged that the funds received from the Centre during last financial year under the National Horticulture Mission were being used by chief minister Nitish Kumar to plant trees all over the state and thus take credit to save environment.

Addressing a joint Press conference in Patna on Saturday the chairman of Flagship Monitoring Committee Vijay Shankar Mishra, former Union minister Dasai Chaudhary, BPCC media department convener H K Verma, senior spokesman Prabhat Kumar Singh and Motilal Sharma alleged that Nitish Kumar is presenting all the centrally sponsoree schemes as the schemes of the state government and misguiding the people of the state.

They said that the Congress party’s Flagship Monitoring Committee would lodge its protest at the sites of centrally-sponsored schemes if they were not being implemented properly.

The Congress leaders charged that centrally-sponsored schemes such as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, JNNURM, National Rural Health Mission, Indira Awas Yojana, MNREGA, Mid-Day Meal, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana etc are not being implemented properly in Bihar.

They also demanded that the state government put up notice boards wherever central schemes were being implemented. If this was not done within 15 days, the party itself would put up boards to inform people about the reality of developmental works in the state.

One would have thought after royal slap by people of Bihar during last election, where leitmotif of congress's campaing was that they send money like yester-year kings and Nitish Kumar takes credit; cong as a party may have wisened up. But alas one doesn't see any such sign.

FACTs
1. Bihar like any other state deserves its share of federal fund since even Bihar and its people fill up the federal reserve through direct/indirect tax.
2. Bihar gets 1/10th of federal fund in comparision to J/K a state with 1/10of Bihar's population. SO if anything Bihar still gets raw deal in fund allocation
3. Those federal funds do not come from Itali or Switzerland or any other dubious black money havens .

Days of raja/rani deigning to throw some crumbs at unwashed masses are gone. This is era of govt as public servant so better start talking langauge of people's servant instead of masters. When you conggressi claim you send money, as some ksort of favor, you disrespect people of Bihar.

Better change your ways else in next election congress's tally will come down to zero from 4.
