Murder charges framed against Rupam Pathak

Patna,(BiharTimes): A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Monday framed charges of murder against Rupam Pathak, the main accused in the then Purnia BJP MLA, Raj Kishore Kesri, murder case.
However, when designated CBI judge B N Singh informed her about the charges of murder Rupam pleaded ‘not guilty’. The judge, however, went ahead with framing the charges and asked the prosecution to produce witnesses in the court from September 14 onwards.

Rupam’s counsel Dinesh Kumar said the designated court had on August 9, 2011, framed charges against her for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. But on Monday, the court charged Rupam with intentionally murdering Kesri. The court would now re-examine the four witnesses, he said.
Kesri was stabbed to death allegedly by Rupam, the lady principal of a school, at his Purnia residence on January 4, last. Rupam accused Kesri and his aide Bipin Rai of repeated rape.
