RJD to oppose Advani’s Rath Yatra

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Rashtriya Janata Dal has threatened to stop the Rath Yatra of Lal Krishna Advani, which is to be flagged off by the chief minister Nitish Kumar from Sitab Diara on October 11.
Talking to the mediapersons on Tuesday state party chief Ram Chandra Purve and Rajya MP, Ram Kripal Yadav accused Nitish Kumar of sitting into the lap of communal forces to remain clinged to power.

They charged that Nitish is busy implementing the agenda of RSS in Bihar.

It needs to be recalled that party chief Lalu Yadav had a couple of months back announced that he would stage a rally in Gandhi Maidan on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lok Nayak on October 11.

Now Lalu would lead a procession in the state capital on the same day to protest against what the leaders said anti-people, anti-farmers policies of the Nitish Kumar government, which had failed on all fronts.

It needs to be recalled that the activists of the erstwhile Janata Dal––then both Lalu and Nitish were its leaders–– and other social outfits, such as Insani Ekta Mohim, strongly opposed Somnath to Ayodhya Ram Rath Yatra of Advani in October 1990. Advani was later arrested in Samastipur on Ocotber 23.
