Nitish, Modi, Rabri elected unopposed to Bihar Legislative Council

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi and former chief minister Rabri Devi were among the 11 candidates who got elected unopposed for the Bihar Legislative Council on Thursday.

According to Assembly secretary-cum-returning officer, Laxmi Kant Jha, there was only 11 candidates for the 11 seats on the last date of withdrawal.

It is the second consecutive term for both Nitish and Modi. The JD(U) leaders elected unopposed are state Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh, Rural Works Department Minister Bhim Singh, former minister Ramashray Prasad Singh, JD(U) spokesman Sanjay Singh and party leader Upendra Prasad. They all have been elected for the second consecutive term.
