          Patna,(BiharTimes):   Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday inspected various irrigation projects,   including the progress of construction works in Jagdamba dam in Chainpur block   on the first day of his three-day Seva Yatra to Maoist-affected Kaimur district.  |  Nitish inspected the   works at Jagdamba dam located on Kuhira river and an under-construction   reservoir in Barsati village soon after arriving here on the Seva Yatra amid   tight security arrangements.  He later visited the   site of Vishwakarma pump canal located in Durgawati block and directed Water   Resources Department (WRD) Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary to ensure completion   of Rs 118.15 crores irrigation project on time. The Vishwakarma pump canal with   storage capacity of 630 cusec water will provide irrigation water to 9,000   hectare farmland in Ramgarh and Durgawati blocks of Kaimur district.      comments... |
