Patna,(BiharTimes): Mahila Atyachar Virodhi Sangharsh Morcha charged the Patna SSP with maligning the character of the victim of the gang-rape on the basis of a medical report. As the victim is a minor her statement is itself an evidence of crime. The members of the Morcha Kanchan Bala, Sushila Sahay, Baby Kumari, Shweta Singh, Sadhna Mishra, Manju Dungdung and Sharad Kumari deplored the statement made by the SSP that the medical examination did not find any evidence of rape.    | They said that it was hard to get physical evidence of any rape case after only three days of incident. In this case it was more than 40 days that the police recorded her version. The Morcha further alleged that Patna Police had forbidden the victim and her family members from interacting with anyone. The members said that they tried to meet her in court premises but the police did not allow her to talk. They also tried to meet the victim at her house but the family members refused to meet them. The victim had said in her recorded statement that seven accused had outraged her modesty. But police had failed to nab two accused, Saurabh and Rishav Singh and were even trying to protect them, the Morcha leaders alleged.
