Patna,(BiharTimes): Girl students continue to disappear from Kasturba Gandhi Residential School, Simraha, in Araria district. In the last five years 24 such students have disappeared mysteriously from the school.
Surprisingly, the district programme officer was informed about the missing students for the first time only on June 8 this year. |
Even on Monday last seven students were found missing when the district child welfare committee chairperson, Rita Ghosh, visited the school. Some of them have not been attending the school since March last.
Araria SP Shivdeep Lande said a four member police team has been constituted. It would be assisted by Ghosh. Police have arrested one person and are looking for the other.
It must be recalled that on May 19, 2010 the Araria Police rescued four girl students of the school from a red light area in Forbesganj and handed them over to their parents.
