Patna,(BiharTimes): If the girl gang rape case has seven accused why is the Patna Police unable to find the seventh one, though the incident took place about two months ago and came to light more than a fortnight back. But after the sixth arrest no effort is being made to nab the seventh one.
Now that Dinesh, the domestic help of Sushant, one of the accused, made it clear before the police that his name is not Saurabh, it remains a mystery as to who is Saurabh? After all the victim has named Saurabh and not Dinesh while giving a statement in the court under Section 164. If it is really so why then arrest Dinesh? And if Dinesh has wrongly been arrested then it means that the police is yet to arrest not one but two accused. |
The seven persons whom the girl accused are Prashant Jha, Rahul Kumar, Rahul Lama, Saurabh, Rishabh, Arman and Sushant.
Now that Dinesh has so specifically given his statement why is it that Saurabh has not yet been arrested. Last week the Janata Dal (United) MLA from Barh, Gyanendra Singh Gyanu filed a case against a Hindi newsportal, when it reported that Saurabh is in fact his son.
The Patna Police has already been slow in the case. It lodged an FIR only after women’s groups took out candle light march and one of the members of the Bihar State Women’s Commission took the statement of the victim girl.
The Police provided every opportunity to erase all the evidence of the case. It has not yet seized the mobile phones of the accused so that it could be known as to what have they talked after committing the crime.
Though demand of speedy justice is being made the police is yet to arrest one of the main accused as he has a strong connection.
The RJD raised the issue in the state Assembly on Friday and women groups took to streets once again a day later. Yet the police is not in hurry to nab Saurabh.
