Patna,(BiharTimes): Alleging large-scale irregularities in National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) the Rashtriya Janata Dal MLAs on Tuesday demanded a CBI probe into what is now called uterus scam. In the morning RJD legislators held demonstration in the main portico of the state Assembly. Holding anti-government placards in hands they demanded probe into the alleged NRHM scam.

Drawing attention towards the report of the removal of uterus of women in illegal manner by several private hospital the RJD members later entered the Assembly where they once again raised the issue.
Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary rejected the Adjourntment Notice by RJD MLA Akhtarul Imam and others saying it was not in proper order. This angered the opposition MLAs. They demanded that the state government must ensure a debate on the subject which they claimed "very very serious."
The multicrore uterus scam has once again exposed the rampant corruption in the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar. Private hospitals have removed the uterus of thoussands of women, many of them unmarried to gobble up insurance money. The scam runs into several crores.
