          Patna,(BiharTimes): Former Bihar energy,   law, minority welfare and public relations department minister Shakeel Ahmed   Khan died of cardiac   arrest at a private hospital in Gurgaon on Friday. He was   65.  Khan, who   served as minister for 10 years in the Lalu-Rabri cabinet, joined the Janata Dal   (United) last year. He died at Medicity   hospital in Gurgaon.   He is survived by his widow and three daughters.  |  Shakeel Ahmed Khan was member of Bihar legislative assembly twice and also   member of the state Legislative Council once. He lost from Sherghatty Assembly   seat on RJD ticket in 2010 election. It was a few months later that he joined   Janata Dal (United). Khan, who   started his career in the CPI, was also a leading lawyer in Patna High Court,   where he practised for more than three decades as criminal   lawyer. He   unsuccessfully contested the Assembly election from Gaya Town constituency on   the CPI ticket in 1980, 1985 and 1990. However, in 1994 he switched over to join   the then Janata Dal, which three years later became   RJD.
