          Patna, Aug 23 (IANS) Bihar has urged the central government to   provide urea to overcome a serious shortage, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said   Thursday.
 The chief minister said he had written to central Minister of   State for Chemicals and Fertilizer Srikant Jena.
 
 |  "I have told Jena about urea shortage in Bihar due to inadequate supply by   the central government," he said.
 
 According to an official, Bihar has got   5.90 lakh million tonnes of urea. But this was 1.96 lakh million tonnes less   than what was allocated by the central government.
 
 Bihar's demand for   July and August was 7.90 lakh million tonnes.
