Araria jail superintendent injured in attack by inmates

Patna,(BiharTimes): The jail superintendent of Araria divisional jail was attacked by a group of six inmates on Thursday.
According to the SP, Shivdeep Lande, the jail superintendent, R K Chauhan, was injured when a group of prisoners attacked him during the inspection of cells.
One of the fingers of Chauhan was fractured. He has been admitted to Sadar hospital.

A case has been lodged and an investigation is on.

The SP said inmates were reportedly disturbed after learning that some of them were going to be transferred to another prison.
