New post-retirement assignment for outgoing Chief Secretary

Patna,(BiharTimes): The practice of post-retirement posting of bureaucrats continues in Bihar. The state government has appointed the Chief Secretary, Navin Kumar, as the Director General of the newly created Centre for Good Governance Society (CGGS), even before he is to actually retire on August 31.

According to the General Administration Department (GAD) notification issued on Tuesday the outgoing Chief Secretary would be assisted by two junior officials. Ajay Chaudhary, currently joint secretary, GAD, has been given additional charge of director (governance) while Bimlesh Kumar Jha, deputy secretary, GAD, has also been given additional charge of deputy director in charge of administration in the CGGS.

The government also notified the posting of the 1994 batch IAS, Atish Chandra, as the secretary to the CM secretariat.
