Saket Police team raids Bihar village in Delhi gang-rape case

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): A six-member team of Delhi police on Wednesday carried raids in the house of Akshay Singh, 23, alias Akshay Thakur, one of the accused in New Delhi bus gang-rape case, in a village in Aurangabad district of Bihar.

The police detained his father Saryu Singh and brother Abhay Singh and interrogated them.

The team was led by Saket police station SHO Rituraj Kumar.
Akshay’s family belongs to Lohankurma village under Chandwa police station area. He is married and has a child.

According to SP, Aurangabad, Pranav Kumar Praveen, , during interrogation, Saryu told the police that several members of his family were working in Delhi. Akshay also went there a couple of years ago and was working as a conductor there. A local police team, along with the Delhi police, has been conducting raids at several places to arrest Akshay.

However, Akshay is not probably in Aurangabad.

Akshay’s father is a farmer while his brother, an unemployed youth, helps him in his work.
