Another dacoity at liquor merchant’s office in Patna

Patna,(BiharTimes): Even as the state government is trying its level best to promote the liquor industry and its sale wine shops and offices are becoming soft target of the criminals in Patna itself

In another major incident of dacoity Rs 6.75 lakh were looted from the office of a liquor shop at Telegraph Colony under Buddha Police Station between 2:00 and 3:00 PM on Tuesday.
The four-room office of Uttar Pradesh-based businessman Badri Prasad Jaiswal is situated in the ground floor of a three-storied Atul Apartments.
According to reports quoting employees of the dealer at least five persons were involved in the incident. The criminals assaulted and locked up the employees in the bathroom of the office before escaping.
There were nine employees in the office when the crime took place. Badri Prasad Jaiswal has 26 shops of foreign and country-made liquor in and around Patna. This is the collection office where the cash from the shops is deposited.
Employees said that the criminals asked the guard whether the Saheb was inside. However, before the guard could say anything they took out their guns and pushed him into the office. Two of the criminals had covered their faces with cloth and one was wearing a helmet. Two of them did not have their faces covered. They were young.
The criminals locked all the employee up in the bathroom and after looting the office escaped. The whole incident occurred in just 10 minutes.
City SP Kim and DSP (Law and Order) L M Sharma reached the spot after the crime was committed.
