JD(U) MLC receives threatening call from Maoists

Patna,(BiharTimes): Maoists late on Sunday night raided a hot mixing plant belonging to the ruling Janata Dal (United) MLC, Dinesh Prasad Singh, at Bakhra village under Saraiya police station of Muzaffarpur district. They also assaulted three caretakers.

Later the MLC also received a threatening call from Maoists.

Singh said that soon after receiving the threatening call, he informed the DM, SP and the IG about it.

Reports said that the rebels had allegedly demanded levy from the caretakers and attacked the plant as they did not pay up. The injured men have been admitted to a hospital.

Around 35 Maoists had raided the village with sophisticated weapons and fired in the air to scare away the the villagers. Before fleeing the spot, they torched two machines.
