Bid to hijack train for beloved lands youth in police custody

Patna,(BiharTimes): A student of BBA, 24-year-old love-struck youth, Ketan Kumar, on Friday made an abortive bid to hijack Amrapali Express to gift it to his girlfriend on New Year’s eve.

According to reports from Katihar the youth was finally arrested in Kursela railway station, 40 km from the district headquarters.


Ketan has since been remanded in judicial custody.
To please his beloved he managed to board the engine of the Katihar-bound 15708 Amrapali Express around 8:20 PM and whipped out a gun from his pocket. He held the gun at the temple of the driver but was later overpowered and arrested by the GRP at Kursela.

According to Katihar SP (Railways) Sukan Paswan the youth is a student of BBA at Saharsa and a native of Madhepura district.

However, Ketan refused to disclose the identity of the girl.
