Abducted Baunsi Circle Inspector recovered from criminal gang
Patna,(BiharTimes): After nine days Banka Police on Thursday recovered Circle Inspector of Baunsi block of district, Pradeep Singh, from the clutches of a gang of criminals.
He was abducted while on way to Basukinath Dham for offering puja on December 27. The following morning his motor-cycle was found behind the Baunsi Police Station of Banka district.
According to the SP Vikas Barman the criminals released Pradeep after repeated raids by police in the jungles along Banka’s border with Jharkhand. He ruled out the involvement of Maoists in the incident and said that criminals had abducted him to demand ransom money.
Police are questioning Pradeep.
The famous Mandar Hill is situated under Baunsi block of Banka district.
