Five SIs, one ASI dismissed from service

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government on Thursday dismissed five sub-inspectors and an assistant sub-inspector of police from service after charges of corruption against them were proved true.

Reports said that the orders of dismissal from service were issued after a review of the departmental proceedings against the six officials at the state police headquarters.
They all were nabbed red-handed by sleuths of the state vigilance investigation bureau during raids carried out in Madhubani, East Champaran, Vaishali, Banka and Bhojpur districts.
According to additional director-general of police (headquarters) Ravinder Kumar said the orders of dismissal from service of the six officials were issued by the respective deputy inspectors-general, the appointing authority of the sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors.
He said action against other police officials, who were arrested on corruption charges, would be taken within a month. The officers conducting the departmental proceedings have been asked to complete the process within the stipulated period.
While two sub-inspectors were posted in East Champaran, one each was posted in Vaishali, Madhubani and Banka districts. The dismissed ASI, Raghav Sah, was posted at Nawada police station in Bhojpur district.
