Even state BJP chief C P Thakur had to pay bribe in Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): Confiscating property of one or two officials for marketing the achievements of the state government is one thing, but the ground reality suggests that loot and corruption has reached an unprecedented level in Bihar.

If opposition leaders make any allegation one would say that s/he is politicizing it. But when such sensational disclosure is made by none else but the President of the Bihar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party Dr C P Thakur in a public meeting of his own party one is left speechless.
Launching the three-month long School Chalo Abhiyan (Go To School Campaign) of his party on Saturday he cited the example of how cut money was demanded by engineers in the projects in which he was himself involved. In a way he expressed his helplessness and that too in presence of the media––some of them did carry the news.
He said that he had to pay cut money for the construction of the school building of Rajkiyakrit Prathmik Vidyalaya for slum children at R-Block locality in Patna.
Dr Thakur said on Saturday that the first floor of the school building could not be completed without paying cut money from the centrally-sponsored Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) funds to the engineer concerned.
Narrating the incident he said that a couple of years ago he found that the school for slum children of the R-Block locality had no building. He took up the matter with the then Patna district magistrate, who agreed to finance construction of a double-storied building with the SSA fund. Soon the construction of the building started. But the work did not complete after the first floor as the engineer concerned demanded cut money from the SSA fund. According to him the engineer said point-blank that unless cut money is paid, the building will not be constructed.
He said the local people and teachers of the primary school brought this matter before him and he was left with no choice but to ask them to pay the cut money demanded by the engineer. That is how the construction of the two-floor primary school building was completed, he added.

Hopeless situation, Mr. C.P. Thakur has to ask the teachers that they should pay the cut money, wooh!!
Why couldn't he complaint of such engineer when his own party is Ruling the state. When they can confiscate the property of corrupt officer and turn them in school, who is stopping him to prosecute such a corrupt engineer.
Why is he helpless? I'm sure next press conference he would say he was miss quoted
