Patna,(BiharTimes): Four persons were killed and two seriously injured when a truck rammed into them while they were standing on the road side at Chewara block in Sheikhpura district of Bihar on Saturday evening. |
Initial reports said that five persons died in the mishap, but later it was confirmed that only four died while the condition of two is critical. They have been rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
The incident took place at about 5:30 PM. The driver of the truck, however, managed to escape. Irate mob later torched the truck and targeted the government property. They even chased away the police when they arrived on the spot.
They sought immediate arrest of the driver besides, demanded compensation for those who lost their lives.
One of those killed has been identified as Indra Paswan (20).
