Bihar’s Health Minister turns barbarian, calls for chopping off
striking Junior Doctors hands

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar’s Health Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey on Saturday turned barbarian when, while delivering his speech, he warned the Junior Doctors of the state that their hands would be chopped off if they dare to go on strike.

Launching Jan Chetna Swastha Yatra in Patna he threatened the Junior Doctors that the state government was not going to tolerate their arm-twisting and violent tactic. The Junior Doctors have repeatedly gone on strike in the state to press their charters of demand, which include hike in their stipend. But the minister had now asked them to leave and go elsewhere if they are not satisfied with what they get here.

The minister did not stop there. At one place during his Yatra in Patna he even made an employee sit up for poor maintenance of the health centre.

However, the Bihar State Health Services Association on Saturday denounced the minister for making such a speech. In a statement it said that the miniser’s utterances remind one of the era of ancient
Babylon, where the hands of doctors were amputated
