Now BJP MLC hits out at Nitish government

Patna,(BiharTimes): A day after health minister Ashwini Choubey threatened to chop off the hands of the Junior Doctors his party colleague and BJP MLC Baleshwar Bharati chose to openly denounce the state government for its complete failure on all fronts.

Addressing a public meeting organized in memory of late leader Ramdeo Mahto he blasted the chief minister Nitish Kumar, the rural development minister and state bureaucracy.

He said that the officers have become stumbling block on the path of the development of the state. “During the Lalu regime there used to be potholes in the roads, now there are pokhars (ponds) in them,” he said.

Referring to the chief minister’s Sewa Yatra he said in Madhubani he was not taken through the roads, whose condition is very bad. “When I asked the district magistrate why is it so? He replied ‘will you take my job’,” the BJP MLC said.

He said that the role of party workers (karyakarta) is being ignored. The elected reprsentatives and the rank and file are being totally neglected. Officers do not pay heed to the MLAs and MLCs. What is this happening in the state?

The organizers present at the dais repeatedly tried to pacify the senior party leader by passing out slip to him but to no avail. He did not cut his speech short and spoke till end.

Meanwhile, the Janata Dal (United) spokesman Neeraj strongly criticized Bharati’s utterances. “It is an unfortunate and sad. He is the member of the Council and he should have raised these issues there. Why is he going public, when he is a part of the government? he asked.
