Patna,(BiharTimes): Ten women candidates were caught using mobile phones while appearing for a para-medical entrance examination at B D Evening College, Yarpur, in Patna on Saturday. The accused, aged between 22 and 35, had bluetooth-enabled handsets hidden under their clothes, while the wireless earplugs were tucked away in their hair so that it could not be seen. Apart from B D Evening College the examination was held in other centres too. | According to reports the police received a tip-off that 10 women candidates had been adopting unfair means. Upon this a team of Gardanibagh reached the examination centre. After the surprise check the police team managed to catch 10 of them. They were taken into custody and produced before court. They were remanded in jail custody. The arrested women hailed from different districts of the state. But most of them were from Patna, Nalanda and Vaishali. Media reports quoting sources said that the answering devices attached to their ears were all wireless, which made detection difficult. The earplugs did not have any wire attached to them. The women had kept the cellphones in silent mode and hid them in their clothes. They were reading out the questions to their acquaintances outside the examination hall in a very low tone who then dictated them the answers from the other end, the Gardanibagh police told media. However, the racket providing the answers to the examinees could not yet be busted. But some of them have been identified, the police claimed.
