Uterus removal case: Nitish promises strict action

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Monday that he had ordered an investigation into a media report which suggested that uterus of 16,000 women were removed without any reason under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). He promised strict action against those found guilty.

He was reacting to a report recently published in a Hindi daily which said that the uterus of 16,000 women were removed in 11 districts of Bihar over the past two and half years to enable them to take health insurance benefit under NRHM.
