PMC approves Commissioner’s order to cancel resold land registration

Patna,(BiharTimes): The empowered standing committee of Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday gave its nod to the decision of its Commissioner, Pankaj Kumar Pal, to cancel registration of flats or buildings on plots resold by lessees without taking the necessary permission from it.

A few days  back the PMC had issued notices to 95 lessees, who were allotted land by the then Patna Regional Development Authority (PRDA)––now merged with the PMC––but later resold it to builders for constructing residential or commercial complexes.

Pal then also wrote to the registration office calling for immediate stoppage of the registry of flats or buildings on such land. Orders were also issued to stop the ongoing construction work on such plots.

As reported earlier while 82 such structures were identified in the Rajendra Nagar area, 12 came to notice from Sri Krishna Puri.
