Patna,(BiharTimes): So what if the Janata Dal (United)––this time including Nitish Kumar––on Monday decided to support the BJP candidate, Jaswant Singh, for the post of Vice President! The second rung leaders of the two main NDA constituents in Bihar continue to indulge in war of words. In fact they have reached a new low. | For example, the Janata Dal (United) spokesman, Sanjay Singh, a convert from Lok Janshakti Party, on Monday called the BJP minister in the Nitish cabinet, Giriraj Singh, a mental case. The attack was too personal on the minister, known for his ardent support for the Gujarat chief minister, Narendra Modi. Sanjay went on to say that the animal husbandry and fishery minister of Bihar has lost his mental balance and is a fit case to be at the Kanke mental asylum near Ranchi rather than in the state cabinet.
Sanjay’s attack came after Giriraj strongly flayed Janata Dal    (United) for its stand on the presidential election. It needs to be recalled that during the Saturday last visit of the NDA's presidential nominee P A Sangma to Patna, Giriraj had regretted that most of the parties owing allegiance to the late Ram Manohar Lohia’s socialism had now chosen to toe the Congress’
 line.

He cited the example of Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal (Secular), RJD, LJP and lastly Janata Dal (United) too.
That much was enough for Sanjay to hit out at the minister. But if Giriraj is really a mental case and should not be in the cabinet, why is Nitish allowing him to be there, asked his critics in the BJP.
