Patna,(BiharTimes): Two more youths alleged to be involved in the gangrape case surrendered on Friday.
First, an 18 year old boy named as a suspect surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rama Kant Yadav. He was taken on judicial remand and sent to Beur Jail. |
The second surrender took place in a television studio amidst a high drama. One of the boys, Sushant, seen in the CD reached the studio of Maurya TV late in the evening and offered to surrender. He just walked into the channel, as the footage showed.
The channel informed the police who arrived and took him into custody from the studio itself even as he was talking to the anchor.
The boy was seen in the CD footage but while talking to the correspondent he pleaded innocent.
He admitted to have driven the car, that carried the girl to the house where the incident took place but added “I did not even touch the girl.”
