Maoists’ involvement in Ranvir Sena chief’s killing ruled out

Patna,(BiharTimes): Intelligence sources have virtually ruled out the involvement of Maoists in the killing of Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh alias Mukhiyaji in Ara on June 1 morning. It now suspect the involvement of a hired killer.

Officials said the killing was a hit and run job and it could not be ruled out that it was a political murder.

Intelligence agencies could not yet conclude who could be behind the murder and who could have benefited from his killing. While in jail, Mukhiyaji had reportedly patched up with the Maoists cadres. Ever since June 1, when the killing took place the accusing fingers are being pointed towards two Janata Dal (United) legislators. It is because of this very reason that the mob did not target the Dalit supporters of Maoists or CPI ML on June 1 and 2. Rather than the ire was directed against the state government and the ruling NDA leaders.

The front organizations of Ranvir Sena too has not blamed the Maoists, instead it has held the state government responsible for the killing.
