Upset R K Sinha obeyed BJP leadership, did not file nomination

Patna,(BiharTimes): Cut up by the adamant stand of the alliance partner Janata Dal (United), senior BJP leader R K Sinha said on Tuesday that he decided not to file his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha seat following the request by state party chief Dr C P Thakur.

Talking to newsmen he said it was Dr Thakur, who requested him not to file nomination papers and work in the larger interest of the alliance between BJP and JD(U).

Till late on Sunday it was almost certain that Sinha will be the third party candidate from Bihar. But he had to make way after chief minister Nitish Kumar refused to budge from his stand and said that Janata Dal (United) would contest for the fourth seat.
