PMCH junior doctors call off strike after death of a dozen patients

Patna,(BiharTimes): Junior doctors of Patna Medical College and Hospital on Saturday called off the indefinite strike following assurance of proper security for them. However, more than a dozen patients died due to the strike.

The junior doctors went on strike after a clash with the relatives of a woman of Gopalganj, who died on Friday.

Strike by senior and junior doctors of PMCH has become a common phenomenon. In the last over five years several hundred patients have died due to strike on one pretext or the other.

Now PMCH is jokingly known as Patient Marna Chahta Hai rather than Patna Medical College and Hospital.
